I personally believe food should be delicious as a first description. If you want to call it healthy too, that's awesome, but first it should look, smell and taste amazing before you drop in the second descriptor. Because if you can enjoy it without knowing the health benefit, you're golden. That's something you can continue and want to continue.

That's also the way I feel about this gallery we did with Food Network on food in floral arrangements. You look at these and think "Damn. That is really beautiful.". And then maybe the second time you look at it, you're like "Wait...is that an asparagus? Am I seeing okra?" and we're like BOOM! YEAH YOU ARE!

Here are three of the arrangements Holly Chapple designed for us for the Food Network piece. We went to her new farm in Lucketts/Waterford VA and hung out and photographed while she played with buckets of flowers and produce from her father's own farm. We actually hung out the whole day...into the night. That's maybe my favorite part of what we do: we can bring in our favorite people to make something awesome. Holly, who was a family friend and now personal friend, did my bouquet 5 years ago which was food in flowers....how cool is it that we got to play with that theme again for Food Network?
