This has been the fastest slow week ever. Does anyone else have those weeks? As I look at my calendar for a jam packed schedule next week full of nutrition clients, heading to Baltimore where I'm the campus dietitian to give away hundreds of heart healthy walnuts, and a wedding industry party for newly engaged couples...I still feel like this 'slow' week got busy too. But that's what I love about what I do. Because if I was sitting in a cubicle with the same schedule every week...ugh. No thanks. So for your reading pleasure, be you in a cubicle or elsewhere, here's what I'm reading and loving this week.

  • This is my kind of dinner party. Cheese, breads, olives, fruit and a big salad is so easy and a crowd pleaser. Make chalk board placemats to describe each cheese plate offering to make your job easier.
  • I am so in love with this. Get a plastic pigeon kit, insert your letter into the sleeve on its back and mail it as is. Seriously. It conforms to all postage rules.
  • Hush puppies just got chic. I Love Southern Weddings magazine/blog is gorgeous in every way. When they feature southern foods done right for parties, I swoon. And bite sized southern food is just the right portion.
  • I have worn the same Caribbean Hook bracelet every day since I was 16. I only take it off for air port security or medical procedures. While I do wear other bangles and bracelets on occasion, I think it's time to add to my 'every day' wear with this heart bracelet.
