The holiday season wrapped itself up quite nicely this year, and like all conclusions, it brings about the start of something new and exciting. For the blog, you'll start to see some changes:

  • More recipes that focus on foods you can serve as the healthy hostess at your party. Lots of bite sized fun without sacrificing flavor (Seriously. You know I'm not into that.).
  • The blog will also be undergoing a name change...not necesarily an identity change. But once we release the new banner, you'll hopefully feel, like I do, that this is what the blog should have been called all along.
  • Some sneak peeks into the house. We recently bought a Victorian era home, and we're ripping the guts out of it to make it amazing. I'll share photos and some before and afters. But I have a feeling there will be some stories...
  • Lastly, Friday Favorites will turn into Friday Fêtes. Each Friday I'll show a quick party idea that you can draw inspiration from for colors, decoration, outfits and general merry making spontaneity. Who needs a holiday for a reason to celebrate anyway?

This week's Friday Fête makes celebrating New Years classic, elegant and simple. Metallics are part of the ultimate celebration color scheme. Paired with a powerful black and white, it says black tie every day. Savor the last of your evergreens with long tapered candles and toast over a vanilla pear cocktail. Pick a wild Kenneth Jay Lane-esque zebra bangle and pick your favorite count down number with Lulu Frost code rings. Most importantly, celebrate with those you enjoy and don't forget the bubbly!
