Once upon a time I used to be a gum chewer. And then I became sugar alcohol sensitive; a huge problem since 99% of chewing gums on the market are sweetened with sorbitol, xylitol and the like. One mint or sip of sugar free coffee and my stomach is tightened into the kind of knot a sailor would be proud of. While xylitol sweetened gums are a great option for those who are not sugar alcohol sensitive and can even promote great dental health, it's not an option for me.
